Crysis Warhead Review
From Stealth Suits to Nukes

Ever have one of those days where you just feel like chucking someone off a bridge? If so….you probably need help. Luckily, Crysis Warhead has a prescription just for you. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the game, let me catch you up a bit. Crysis Warhead is a first person shooter that’s an offshoot of the previous Crysis game. (Although it’s a spin-off, it's a standalone game that does not require the original to play.)
I started playing this game having no prior knowledge of the previous Crysis, and was even a little new to FPS’s on the computer, being more of a platform gamer myself. Even so I had no problems following the story of Crysis Warhead. The best part about this game is that you could play it however you wanted. You could play through it like I did, and be stealthy and subtle, or you could just run through the levels blowing up everything in your path. Both are rewarding in their own way. Another great thing was the interaction you have with the environment. You could pick up almost every object you come across, even animals. (What could satisfy you more than popping out from behind a rock and throwing a turtle at your enemy?)

As for the online play, it’s pretty good. They basically just upgraded the previous Crysis's online modes. But, it’s a solid game experience no matter how you look at it.
Now onto the downsides… I didn’t experience a ton of problems in the game, but there were a few. I found some line of sight issues, where enemies could see me from behind a rock. Also, I got stuck a few times trying to load my game when I was in an air vent. Besides a few problems here and there, it was a very fun game experience. I would definitely recommend this game to others looking for a good FPS.
Platform: PC
Length (approx): 4 hours if you run through. 5-6+ if you're stealthy like me
