Ubisoft Registers an 'Avengers' Domain Name, Game to Follow?

As you might already be aware, The Avengers opened this past Friday, and surprisingly, there was no video game tie-in to be seen (unless you count the Facebook game, which is actually quite good). It seems strange though that Marvel would pass on the opportunity to cash in on this opportunity, even amid rumors of a possible THQ acquisition. That may not prove to be the case however, as Ubisoft has recently registered an Avengers-themed domain name, more details below.

A few days ago, the domain name AvengersBattleforEarth.com was registered by Marvel Characters, Inc. and is currently listed on Ubisoft’s nameservers: nic1.ubisoft.com and nic2.ubisoft.com.

While at this point, anything further is simply speculation, one can only hope that Marvel will be making an effort to keep tie-in properties up to the level of quality that they're holding their films.
