New Assassin's Creed Coming Next Year
A couple weeks ago, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was released as a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed 2. Last week, Ubisoft confirmed that there would be a new Assassin game releasing sometime in 2011.
MCV spoke with Ubisoft's EMEA chief of marketing, Geoffroy Sardin, who said, "Yes, Yves [Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO] mentioned it last week in our financials – and more details will be forthcoming. But what I can say is that next year we will have another big Assassin’s Creed game." At this point, fans are starting to assume the next title will be Assassin's Creed 3. Brotherhood, as stated earlier, is a continuation of Ezio's adventures from 2, but wouldn't really be considered a big Assassin's Creed game. But Assassin's Creed 3 definitely fits that description.
It'll be interesting to see where Ubisoft takes Desmond next. Will we be taken to the 18th century American and French Revolution or flung even further forward to the first and second World War? What do you guys and gals think?
